Contactor Components

Movable & Stationary Contacts

Deringer-Ney manufactures contactor components for high-performance electrical switching applications. Our custom components are typically made from our copper and silver alloys and offer excellent performance and long-term reliability for contactors in a wide range of industries.

Contactor Components

Component Materials

Deringer Ney’s contactor components feature copper alloy bases which are coupled with specialized silver alloy contacts. Silver options include fine silver, silver cadmium oxide, silver tin oxide, silver nickel, and silver tungsten. As experts in electrical contact theory, our specialty materials are designed to deliver optimum performance and durability in many different switching applications. Alloys are selected for each contact component based on application and environmental requirements.

Our Contactor Capabilities

Deringer-Ney combines decades of experience with manufacturing expertise to offer customized contactor components. Our capabilities include:

  • Scalable manufacturing processes that can meet all volume needs from low-volume prototypes to high-volume production .
  • Broad range of production capabilities that enables us to design and build parts custom-suited to each application. For instance, we use innovative joining techniques such as riveting, resistance welding and brazing to create robust contact-to-base connections.
  • We produce components that can accommodate power levels up to 800V and 1000A

Contactor Components in Various Shapes and Sizes

We produce contactor components in many configurations with base metal thicknesses up to 0.200″/5mm:

  • Movable contacts can be made up to 1″/25mm wide and 3″/75mm long.
  • Stationary contacts can be made in flat or cylindrical geometries. We can include with threaded connections as required.
  • Application details will determine the actual sizes and configurations of the components.
